Personalised Stickers: 25 Ideas for Gifts, Kids, Weddings and Small Business

A personalised sticker is any sticker printed with something that's yours: a name, a photo, a logo, a drawing, a date. They cost a few dollars for a small run, they go on almost anything, and because every order is printed from your file there's no "minimum of 500" to get past. Here are 25 ideas, grouped by who they're for, with the shape and size that suits each one.

Gifts and around the home

  1. Drink bottle and lunchbox name labels. A child's name on a small rectangle, so the bottle comes home from school. Our vinyl is laminated, so it copes with rain, sun and a wipe-down; we don't recommend the dishwasher. Rectangle, 3 × 4.5cm.
  2. Pet portrait stickers. A photo or illustration of the dog, cut to its outline. Good on a laptop, a car window or the fridge, and a gift most pet owners haven't been given before. Die cut, 6.5 to 10cm.
  3. "From the kitchen of" jar labels. For jam, chutney, sauce and pickles handed out at Christmas. Add the date and the flavour. Rectangle or circle, 5 to 7.5cm.
  4. Kids' drawings as stickers. Scan the drawing, send it to us, and it comes back as a sheet of stickers for grandparents, schoolbooks and birthday cards. Sticker sheet, A6 or A5.
  5. House numbers for the wheelie bins. Large, bold numbers so the bins come back to the right driveway. Wheelie bin stickers, 10 to 15cm.
  6. Family and travel stickers for the car. A caravan, a boat, a favourite beach. One personalised design on the rear window instead of a stick-figure family. Die cut, 10 to 15cm.

Kids and school

  1. Schoolbook name stickers. Name and class on a small rectangle; one sheet covers the whole book list. Sticker sheet, A6.
  2. Reward and chore chart stickers. Stars, ticks and a few favourite characters of your own design, kiss cut so small hands can peel them. Kiss cut or sticker sheet, 2.5 to 4cm.
  3. Birthday party favours. The birthday child's name and age on a round sticker for party bags, cups and balloons. Circle, 5cm.
  4. Teacher's class stickers. "Great work from Mrs Lee's 2B" on a small circle. An easy one for a teacher to order themselves. Circle, 4cm.
  5. Junior sport car stickers. The club crest or the team name for the back window of every parent's car. See our clubs and schools guide for the fundraising angle. Die cut, 10cm, or bumper, 6 × 20cm.

Weddings and events

  1. Envelope seals. Initials or a monogram on a small circle for invitations and thank-you cards. Circle, 4cm.
  2. Favour labels. Names and the date on jars of honey, bottles of hot sauce or candles given to guests. Rectangle or circle, 5 to 6.5cm.
  3. "Just married" and wedding car stickers. Removable vinyl for the getaway car. Keep it off the windows the driver looks through; our car decal guide explains where. Bumper, 6 × 24cm.
  4. Hens, bucks and milestone birthdays. An in-joke, a face, a date, on everything from cups to eskies. Die cut, 5 to 7.5cm.
  5. Baby shower and christening stickers. Name and date on a soft, simple design for favours and thank-you notes. Circle, 5cm.

Small business and side hustles

  1. Logo stickers in every parcel. The cheapest piece of marketing you'll ever post. People put them on laptops and water bottles, and your logo travels. Die cut, 5 to 7.5cm.
  2. "Thank you for your order" stickers. Seal the tissue paper or the mailer with a personalised thank-you. Circle, 4 to 5cm.
  3. Product labels for jars, candles and bottles. Your brand, the scent or flavour, and the ingredients. Our jar and bottle label guide has sizes for standard containers. Rectangle, 5 × 7.5cm up to 10 × 15cm.
  4. QR code stickers. One scan to your Instagram, your menu or your Google reviews. Put them on packaging, the counter and the market stall. Square, 5cm.
  5. Market stall pricing and packaging seals. Round stickers to seal paper bags and mark prices; see the market stall guide. Circle, 4cm.
  6. Packaging and box stickers. "Fragile", "Handmade in Sydney" or your returns address, printed with your branding rather than off the shelf. Rectangle, 6 × 9cm.

Clubs, trades and community

  1. Club and association car stickers. Members put them on the car, the esky and the toolbox. Easy to sell at the bar for a few dollars each. Die cut, 10cm.
  2. Hard hat and tool stickers. Company logo, first aider and fire warden markers, and names on every helmet on site. See the hard hat guide. Hard hat stickers, 5cm.
  3. Fundraiser sticker sheets. A sheet of club or school designs sold for $5 at the fete or the canteen. One A5 sheet holds a dozen stickers. Sticker sheet, A5.

What size should a personalised sticker be?

Smaller than people expect, for most of these. A 4cm circle seals an envelope or a paper bag; 5cm is the usual logo-in-the-parcel size; 7.5 to 10cm suits a laptop or a car window. Anything meant to be read from a distance, like a bin number or a club sticker on a car, needs 10cm or more. Our sticker size guide shows the common sizes next to everyday objects.

How to order personalised stickers

  1. Choose a shape from the table above, then a size and a quantity. Prices update as you go.
  2. Upload your artwork: a logo, a photo, a scan of a drawing, or a design from Canva. For bin stickers you just type the text.
  3. We check the file free of charge before anything prints, and get in touch if something won't come out well. Our artwork guide covers the basics if you want to get it right first time.
  4. Printed in Sydney within 1–2 business days, then posted free with AusPost anywhere in Australia. Express is $15.

Personalised or custom: is there a difference?

No. Print shops tend to say "custom"; most people searching say "personalised". Both mean a sticker printed with your own design rather than one chosen from a catalogue. Every sticker on this site is personalised, from a single sheet of name labels to a thousand logo stickers.

Want a feel for the vinyl before you order? The $5 sticker goody bag is a mixed pack of our stickers with free standard shipping, so you can see the print quality and the laminate on a real sticker first.
